Cloudy Bay Te Koko is a full-bodied, alternative style of Sauvignon blanc. This mature wine is complex and savory. With an aroma of lychee and honeysuckle with the scent of thyme and a hint of smoky oak; this is an aromatic and rich textured wine. The grapes used in Te Koko were sourced from six Sauvignon Blanc vineyards, located within the Rapaura and Renwick sub-regions. This results in a flavorful wine. Featuring an aroma of sweet herbs, honeysuckle, nectarine, and smoke. To the palate, it gives the flavor of lemon sorbet and grapefruit that is rich and creamy. Asparagus, guava, and cut grass are also noted along with hints of caramel and vanilla. Te Koko is aged and fermented in French oak barrels. Te Koko is the perfect companion for most food ranging from white fish, asparagus, goat's cheese, and savory dishes. Winner of 2011 Australian Gourmet Traveller.
