The Cabernet Sauvignon is then matured in traditional oak barrels before being finished with the unique Double Barrel technique in aged Irish whiskey barrels. The Double Barrel technique integrates a myriad of flavours and extra richness to the palate.
Double barrel wines are first aged in oak barrels to refine the tannins and round out the smooth sweetness, after maturing they are transferred to a second barrel used for whisky to give an extra level of depth and character. It's just time to expand that universe to other labels because there is, in fact, pretty good, reasonably priced wine out there. If you love your JC, by all means stick with it
